Hello, I have a project to travel to Madagascar in January 2011. I have the friends who already visited Madagascar, that told to me and show the photos of their unforgettable journeys. Hi there, I'm a 40 year old swiss (f) and have been travelling in Asia for 5 months now. My next big destination is going to be India. As I think that sharing good and bad travel experiences with a buddy is much more fun, I'm looking for a travelmate (f or m). I'm interested in culture, nature, trekkings, meeting locals or just anything that pops up on the way. I'm laid back and easygoing and travelling with backback. Which doesn't mean I go cheap, cheap all the time. I like a bit of a midrange comfort and some really nice treats now and then. I will be in Dehli around the 30 November and planning to stay in India until approx. 15 January (I'm flexible about that...). As I'm going to be in Bhutan the next two weeks, I don't know how quick I can reply to messages. I think internet in this country is a bit a problem. Looking for somebody fairly laid back that just wants to get the most out of a trip somewhere, see other cultures & experience other ways of life. Hi, I am on a short vacation (in North America it can only be short because we only get two weeks vacation) planning on traveling to Indonesia and Vietnam. If Indonesia does not work out because of Mount Merabi then it would be Myanmar. I will do the tour in Jan 2011, date would be fixed in the next two weeks. Travel would be mostly by public transport, flights and staying in moderately luxury hotels, I have put my backpacking days behind me. Would love to have company for parts of the trip so that I am not talking to myself most of the time!

How's it going everyone! I'm planning a backpacking trip to Europe (my first) for March-May of 2011. My dates are pretty flexible though, but no earlier than February and no later than August. I'm planning on hitting all the major cities in Western Europe but I'm definitely open to going anywhere. I'd prefer to stay in hostels, not necessarily for financial reasons but for the experience. I want to explore and see the sights during the day, and party with the locals at night. Making new friends and having a great time are the most important things for me. Though I don't mind traveling alone, I think it would be great to find someone to join in the adventure. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, let me know! South India - 3 weeks - Dec-January
Hi, I'm looking for a travel mate to go around south india between the 20th december and mid-january (dates to be confirmed and choosen together). I would rather go to Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Nothing planned yet but no Goa for me (well if you manage to change my mind why not). My way of travelling: no speed to be able to make the most of the places, the landscapes, the people... I'm not really fond about sunbathing (even though i like to relax myself), i love hiking, i think walking is a very good way to discover a country. I mostly take public transport, i don't really care about comfort although it's is very nice sometimes. I signed up for a trip, "Madagascar, the coronation of Nature" through "www.montagne-evasion.com", Gerardmer, At that time I didn't know www.arcanson.com who initiated at that time this circuit. This travel is for the period 8/8/10 to 22/8/10. To date, I am the only subscriber. These 2 travel agencies put together their effort for such a long, and fare-away, trek. I am happy to do this trek; even if I am alone, but I would be happy, if it could interest other partners. If we are 2, it cost 1250 euros, without the internal & international flights. Hello Everyone, I am living in France Right now till August end. I am planning a trip to discover Amsterdam, Nazi camps in Poland and Rome. I have a very busy schedule here (and still want to visit these places!!) so, I am taking 10 days off from work in 2nd week of August and planning to travel mostly by Flight (Getting very cheap deals from RyanAir around 300 euros for whole trip!! Comments??). I am trying to keep a slightly tight budget, So, I have searched (and found!!!) some cheap touth hostels for stay. Anyone travelling in Europe this fall?
Hi everyone! My name is Marielle, I'm 20 and from Toulouse (south of France). I plan to travel around Europe in two times:
- first, this fall: from the end of sept. or the beginning of oct. until late nov. or early dec. to visit the southern countries,
- second, after the holidays (and the cold): in february and march around the northern countries.
ITINERARY
I haven't really planned it, since I'm waiting for people to tag along (and I believe you have a right to discuss where you want to go the most). Although I think it'd be better to travel the south of Europe when it's still warm (*beaaaaches, yaaay*). Meaning I'd rather go to (maybe Germany) Italia, the Dalmatian Coast, Greece and the Balkans this fall and to Benelux (this is Belgium, Luxembourg and Nederland), Germany, Denmark, Poland, Ukraine (not sure it is spelled this way in English^^), Estonia, Latvia and all of this coutries that end with a "a", Sweden of course (what? This is mother country to every H&M lover!), Finland and Norway and, last but not least, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, England (Rainy countries. Brrr.) early next year. France, I guess, would be visited first, since I plan of starting from here, but it's opened to discussion (I personnaly know it already).
This would mean spending 3 days in every country, but it's not written in stone. I mean, we can spend a day in... as an example, Luxembourg (smaaaaallest country ever!) and a week in Germany.
You've probabely noticed, I'm not planning on going to Spain or Portugal -that would be a detour. And since those countries are on the way to Marocco, Algeria and Tunisia, I'll visit the 2 first when I'll go to Maghreb. But it's also opened to discussion.
HOW TO TRAVEL
I'd like to travel by train, with the INTERRAIL. It provides a free-pass to all European coutries (and I'm not only talking about EU) after, of course, paying 400€ (if you're under 25 and a bit more if you're older). I don't know, you should hit the price table. The pass is available up to 1 month, but it's possible to buy two... I think it's the best way to travel -and trust me, I don't really like trains, it's just I like my money and I don't want to waste it on planes or a car.
I'm not against hitchhiking when it's done safely, or buses, or walking, or riding a bycicle or jetpacking... anything's good since I'm not planning on visiting main cities only. I'd love to see smaller cities, meet the people, talk to them, walk through forests and sleep on a not-so-crowed beach.
ACCOMODATION
I'm crazy about backpakers hostels or B&B (which is... basically the same, right?): you meet other travellers there, it's fun and not really expansive. Ok, sometimes it's dirty, but not all the time! And you can sleep in dorm rooms, which means you never sleep but you laugh so much! Or not, but it's still fun. We'll sleep when we'll be old, right?
I'm also up to couch surfing, crashing at friends' places... I just don't want to sleep under bridges.
LOOKING FOR...
Anyway, here's the most important part of my add: the kind of people I'm looking for. I think it's really -really- important to travel 1) with people that understand travels the same way; 2) with people you get along with. I know it can be hard to travel with a backpack with not much food in your stomach and not much sleep behind you, I know it can be difficult sometimes, physically but also mentally. I'm only 20, I travelled in Australia (not all Australia though) so I'm not looking for backpackers that already went around the world (but if that's your case, you're welcomed to tag along!) since I haven't myself. But I don't want to get into something that big with people that can't hold problems (cause there will be some) and manage to get passed them. If I end up in a not so good situation, I'm the kind of person to try my best, right away, to get out of it. If you never travelled that way (with only a backpack) and can't be 100% sure you won't let me, and other friends, down after 2 weeks, then I suggest you pass this time. Also, touchy people? I don't like them, and they don't like me either, so... well.

I'm a Polish student, hitchhiker, globetrotter. This summer I've decided to visit the most eastern part of your country - Sakhalin, Kamchatka, Kuril, Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, as well as some other countries of the area (both Koreas, Japan). START: beginning of August, FINISH: mid-September. I always travel on a budget spending the least amount possible but of course there are always some necessary expenses. The plan is to go to khabarovsk by train, while there try to hitchhike as much as possible and take a plane back from Khavarovsk to Moscow. I'm pretty flexible regarding the dates, means of transport etc. Looking forward to hearing from somebody!!

Hello, As I only went in Rio de janeiro for the last carnaval, Iguazu and Floripa, and really enjoyed Brazil, I want to go back there to visit other cities and meet some new friends. I plan to go by mid september-october 2010 for 3 weeks. If you don t mind travelling on low budget and sleeping in dorm rooms! (Hotel and swimming is nice but you don t meet and hang out with new people around the world.) Hi, I'm looking for somebody or a group to travel with this coming summer around mid July-mid August (but I'm pretty flexible). Originally I was organising a group of 4 us to go together but it didn't end up working out (few realised that they couldn't 'hack it' travelling and preferred a clubbing holiday and Gap year holidays collided). Hi, I'm planing on traveling Europe relevantly soon. I don't have a ton of cash so I'm trying to keep it on a tight budget. I'm looking to stay there for a month or two, or three if it works out. The entire trip begins July 27, 2010 and ends August 18, 2010. The cruise itself begins August 9 and returns August 14. It sales out of Miami, and visits Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau Bahamas. It is on the Carnival Destiny which is a beautiful large ship. All expenses are already paid for and since they are non-refundable I am seeking someone that can use them and yet still allow my husband to enjoy his trip. Second half of may, I want to travel along the Route 61, let's say from New Orleans to Chicago, to follow the roots of blues music and Jazz. Starting from July 1st, I'll be travelling across the US until the beginning of September. Landing in Montreal. First stop: New York, for at least a week. Then for the MUST-SEE, I intend to go to DC, Nashville, Memphis, New Orleans, Austin, San Antonio, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angles, San Francisco (no less than 5 days). I am planning to travel by bus, Greyhound (60 days Discovery Pass) and to rent a car and explore the Southwest National Parks (Monument Valley, Arches, Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, and in California, Yosemite and Death Valley). I may change this itinerary a little, though improvisation and the unexpected make the best trips!! I am a huge fan of music (alternative rock) and I want to make the most of the musical and cultural richness of this country. London Flat Share For Christmas/new Years 2010/11

England and Ireland/France - april or may
Hi, I am 33 Canadian looking for a traveling buddy for a two weeks trip around April 24 to May 8th (dates haven't been fixed yet). I'd like to spend a few days in London first, check out Buckingham Palace, do the Jack the Reaper tour and hopefully, catch some good jazz at night. Wales is also part of my itinerary (walking Snowdonia Park, etc). The second part remains to be confirmed. Possibility 1: head to Ireland (visit a couple of castles on the way, Stonehenge, etc.) OR Possibility 2: head for Paris, France and Versaille. Hi guys, Finally got the money, so am going to travel the states and a bit of Canada this summer. Was thinking mid to late June to mid august. going to fly in to New york and then was thinking of heading up in to canada (montreal and toronto) and then back down in to the states and just generally go where the road takes me and hopefully have an awesome time. Was thinking at this stage of using greyhound as my main means of transport, getting one of their 60 day passes. Africa, Kilimanjaro & Zanzibar
Hi, I'm looking to trek up kilimanjaro (africa's highest mountain) and then spend some time relaxing on Zanzibar- timings of this trip is hopefully to be September 2010-I need to be back to continue with my college course (psychology) at the end of September and am hoping to go to reading festival (UK) over the August bank holiday- so my ideal time to travel would be in between these dates. The guide books say that this is a good time to travel to this part of the world. I've been to travel clinic today to start thinking about vaccinations -thought it would be a good idea! You need six consecutive weeks prior to travel date to fit all injections in. I've never traveled in Africa on my own before and as a fair skinned blonde female would rather travel with a friend! I have hired out a 4 berth Spaceship van til the 17th April to travel around north and south island. I'm looking to go travelling from the beginning of March 2011 up until August 2011 - budget allowing. I'll be 18 years old at the time of travelling (turning 19 whilst away) and I'm looking for a companion who's friendly and preferably around my age (up to 25). I'm looking for female travel companion(s) to share the magic and history of the North. I can't offer a hot exotic place, but I am going to an interesting, historic place, a sunny, warm corner of Yukon. Southern Yukon is an area of large lakes and tourist stops like Skagway Alaska where all of the cruise ships dock. After 24 trips through Yukon, Alaska and NWT, I have purchased property on Tagish Lake. Tagish is cottage country for Yukoners and Europeans in the Southern Lakes district. There is a building there that I started renovating last July and I am going back for awhile this summer, but I also want to get to know the area better. Anchorage, Kluane, Dawson or the Arctic Circle are only a few days drive away. If you can't make this trip, I'll be making more trips and eventually living there. Maybe even the Yukon Quest Dogsled race in February?

Travel through chile early 2011?
Hi I am looking for someone who would be interested in travelling from north Chile all the way down to patagonia. I will be spending several months in Boliva from early september 2010 training as a trek leader. I would really like to try to do a lot of 'sendero de chile' also a mixture of public busses and hitchhiking, i don't want to spend much money and plan to spend most of the time camping, i'd also like to crash on an empty beach for a while. I dont have any set date to go or any real time limit, although i do plan to go to burning man in nevada at the end of august. Due to the nature of the trip i don't think it is very safe to do it alone, someone very adventurous and happy to take each day as it comes would be an ideal companion obviously trekking experience would be great although i will be trained and have my first aid certificate, i think it will be a really challenging trip but the experiences will be amazing! anyone brave enough?

Looking for a female travel companion to Cayman Islands. I am a single, 45 year old, respectful, fit, man who is looking for a female traveling companion. I would like to find someone to join me for a vacation in Grand Cayman in mid-May, 2010. My travel dates are 5/12/2010 - 5/18/2010. I am doing this in all sincerity... Why? You ask am I posting this here looking for a travel companion... I assure you I am not some lonely loser who can't find a date or a girlfriend. I am not looking for either. I am self-employed and after surviving the last two years of this tough economy I find myself making it through and getting back on track. I love to travel and really love the Cayman Islands. I am planning a much needed vacation and although I have traveled by myself before, I thought it would be great to have someone with me who would enjoy a seriously relaxing vacation at a very nice beachfront villa. First of all, please have a valid Passport. You don't need it to go to Grand Cayman, but you will need it for entry back to your home destination. This is not a search for an "escort" or anything like that, but to find someone to converse with, swim and snorkel with, be lazy by the beach and pool with, have dinner with, just hang out and enjoy the beach and sun. I want someone active, outgoing, sociable. A real woman, who is comfortable with herself, laid back, and not high maintenance. Are you comfortable spending the day in your swim suit, swimming and snorkeling in the warm Caribbean waters feeding a group of stingrays swimming around you? How about being lazy all day on the beach, or the pool followed by a BBQ on your own stretch of private beach under the palm trees? How about getting a boat for a couple of days and looking for lobsters or local fish for dinner while touring the beautiful waters of North Sound Bay of Grand Cayman. Picture yourself in that Corona commercial where the guy skips his cell phone into the water... I have several activities and excursions that I am considering, but this is not a sight-seeing trip... this will be my fourth time there and I know the island and what there is to do and what to avoid... I have secured a two-bedroom / two bath villa on a small lagoon inlet right off the ocean (private beach with warm, calm, crystal clear waters...) in the very exclusive Cayman Kai area. Villa bedrooms have been recently remodeled. I have already put down a deposit and purchased airfare, this trip is definitely a go for me... This area is private and comprised mostly of very expensive luxury rental homes and condos with some awesome restaurants and beach activities all within a short walk either direction down the beach. It is nearby to Rum Point with a water sports / island excursion operator and a beach bar/grill. There is also another beach bar / grill and a fine-dining restaurant down the beach the other way. It is about 45 minutes from Georgetown the capital, where there are lots of shops, restaurants, etc... I will not be renting a car, don't want the hassle and don't plan on doing a lot of touring the land portions of island. Water taxis across the bay or in a car, when needed will be the mode of getting around. The place I am staying has it's own private beach and boat dock, and I will be renting a 18' boat for two days to explore the North Sound Bay, Stingray City and do some snorkeling and touring the nearby coral reefs. I will also spend a day in town for the shops and lunch / dinner. Mostly though just relaxing by the beach and nearby pool. Your only expense would be your airfare (currently under $400 roundtrip from ORD in Chicago, connecting in Miami, around $330 from Miami) and any spending money for yourself. I will cover the cost of the accommodations, travel on the island and meals/drinks (I plan on stopping in town and at the grocery store before heading to the villa). I plan on doing some cooking out on the beach a couple of nights at the villa, and eating out a few nights. I am going whether I go by myself or someone joins me, so I have those things covered... You most certainly can do whatever you would like while you are there, and there are NO strings attached here, but as I said... I am looking for a traveling companion to enjoy the time there with, do fun things, to be lazy with in the sun, talk to... hang out with. It's a beautiful island with wonderful, friendly people who make it very easy to have an unbelievable time... Hi everyone, I am looking for someone who wants to travel with me and has to be down to earth, honest and trustworthy! My name is Jem and I'm a 22 year old student in my final year of uni. I would like to start travelling at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb 2011. So far my plans are to fly into Bangkok and then travel around Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Sumatra by train, coach or other cheap means of transport. Whilst there I would like to pack in jungle treks, beaches, elephant treks, temple visits, maybe a cookery course, trip to see the orangutans etc etc. This would be a backpacker trip, staying in hostels and travelling on a budget. From there I was planning on possibly travelling to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. None of this has been booked and I'm open to suggestions. I plan to travel for 4-5 months. I went on a gap year when I was 18 and travelled alone and although I had a great time I would like to travel with someone this time. About me: I'm adventurous, fun, I love to explore and meet new people. I'm also reliable and sensible. Hello, currently, i am planning on traveling to the United Kingdom via passenger freighter Trans-Atlantic crossing cruise. these are more laid back then the normal cruise line Trans-Atlantic crossing cruises and less expensive. once in the United Kingdom, i am expecting on all travel to be by public transportation, i.e. bus, regional trains, local trains, etc. i want to spend several days in London exploring the British museum. Himalayas for a few days, anyone interested?
Is anyone interested in spending about 8-10 days (that's all the time I have, unfortunately) exploring the foothills of the Himalayas. The towns that I will be visiting are Gangotri, Uttarkashi, Kedarnath, Guptkashi, Badrinath, Rishikesh, Haridwar, Delhi and if time permitting Agra. Travel will be mostly by rental car and train. These towns lie at the foothills of Himalayas and may need some kind of trekking. Getting a little tired of doing this all by myself. Land portion of the tour in on me as I have to go anyways. A historical classic tour that should be on any history travel oriented guy's list of top ten places to travel. I am looking to share a cabin with a compatible guy. The lonely waves keep checking for the new foot prints
Every day every minute the lonley sea keeps visitng the beach to check for new foot prints... he is happy to know there are new visitors everyday. My feet felt the warm sea water hugging me till my ankle making me feel welcome, as if asking me where was i for so long and how he missed. I did'nt have an answer how could i just say "ooh i was busy making money and had no time for you". Suddenly her hands cover me around the waist I look back startled she looked the most divine thing on earth, her hair flying casually with the wind in a complete disarray covering her beautiful smile. I turn around and hold her even firmer, she looks right into me as if trying to read what is there in my mind... Suddenly i wake up from my dream and realize this is not real. Scotland by houseboat - travel mate wanted
I am going to Scotland from Moscow (via London) by plane on 27 May 2010 and then travelling in a comfortable houseboat for a week. On 4 June 2010 going by car from a boat base in Scotland to London and can spend up to 8 days for that. The houseboat requires at least 2 people to handle. No special skills required. It has 2 cabins with 4 separate sleeping places, kitchen, shower, toilet, etc. I cover all the basic expenses - houseboat, fuel, food. Roadtrip from New York to Miami Juli 2010
Hey Guys, We plan to go to the USA for 6 Weeks and would like to spend some time on the Road. We'd start on 5th of July and drive down from NEW YORK CITY to MIAMI along the atlantic coast in 2 or 3 weeks. I never did anything like that but from what i've heard it is awesome! We, that's me Annina (21) and my friend Bastian (20) from Switzerland. We'd like to have a good time on the trip... take it slow and enjoy the drive. Unfortunatly we're too young to rent a car but we'd love to see the country like that. And the thought of traveling with someone and getting to know them is also cool. So if any of you have a car and would like to come with us or are old enough to rent a car and share that would be great.

Costa Rica-Live & Tour through the country
I'm moving to Costa Rica in Late January 2010. My plan is to spend the first week taking care of residency business around San Jose, then begin either at the north or south end of the country and live a month or two in an area, maybe even three, then move up/down to the next desired location until I reach the opposite end of the country. After that, I will have a good idea of where I would like to settle. (As close to the beach as possible.) I'm looking for someone compatible to share rent and travel expenses. I don't plan to spend more than $500.00 per month for rent, furnished; includes utilities. So, for $600.00 to $1,000.00 per month for rent will get us something nice and at least two bedrooms and two bathrooms. If this sounds like something doable, please contact me. South Central America TripMate Wanted : Jan-Jun 2010
Dear All, I will be heading for Central and South America on my own in the middle of January for around 5 months. I'm female, 29, easygoing, friendly and honest. Given that I have never travelled on my own in another continent and taking into account that some countries of South or Central America might be at times quite scary especially for a alone travelling girl (places like Brasil or Panama), for security reasons and to make the trip more fun together, I'm looking for a travel companion for this project or some part of it. It's always better to travel with somebody who has the same objectives as you... Here are some details of my partially scheduled trip... At first I would go from Europe to Mexico where I would stay around 3-4 weeks, as a next step I would take a tourist bus crossing all Central America up to Panama. Nevertheless, I would stop only in Guatemala, Belize, Costa Rica and Panama (for those countries I assume to stay around 5 weeks as the are relatively small). From Panama City, I'll take a plane to Colombia where i'll stay 2 weeks. Right after I'll head to Peru and stay around 3-4 weeks, then take a bus to La Paz in Bolivia as it is quite close visiting its areas for 3 weeks and eventually leaving for Argentina and Brasil being my last destinations. For each of those countries I assign 1month time visit period (perhaps for Brasil less as it's lately became quite dangerous and I still am hesitating to go there if alone). Okay, so I'm heading over to Toronto next year, hopefully the beginning of summer, but I'm pretty flexible on what month in summer I go. I'll be doing a one year working/holiday visa and would really love to have someone to travel with. Let's travel Venezuela by van!!!
Hola, amigos! We are a couple Spanish-Venezuelan and live in Barcelona, Spain. We are organizing a trip with the intention to enjoy a different End of Year, with joy and good vibes. The trip is a tour by van in the east of Venezuela, with an estimated time of 15 days. It starts on 25 December 2009 (but we have extended the time of arrival until the 26th Dec.) from the airport in Caracas and ends on January 8, 2010. Currently, we already have the van, with driver. The availability of this car gives us security, tranquility and the flexibility to stop where and when we want. The tour of three days and two nights (which includes transportation, meals and drinks during that time) in the National Park Canaima (Angel Falls), although not mandatory, is a very interesting and unique experience that one never forgets. We have to hire it in advance through a tour operator. With regard to accommodation, meals and other expenses, we considered that each one can decide how and where to do it. But, in case anybody wants to forget about this worries, we can take care of everything. One must take into account that, because of the timing, we must ensure the accommodation in good time. This is a trip among friends. The idea is to much enjoy the country, sharing with their people, their customs and its beautiful geography with the logical freedoms between adults. Several people already matched the trip, including a Spanish and an Argentine. We are waiting response from one Spanish, 2 Venezuelans and an American couple. We think that as the travel date is nearer more people from many parts of the world will join us. The van would carry a maximum of 10 people in order to feel more confortable in the 15 seat vehicle. Route: Caracas-Avila National Park-Santa Fe-Mochima National Park-Ciudad Bolivar-Canaima National Park-Angel Falls-Peninsula de Paria-Margarita Island-Caracas. We hope you join us in this adventure! South Africa for 4 weeks in December

I will travel to Sout Africa in November for 3,5 months for helping in a school in a township in Cape Town and in a horse rehabilitation centre in East London. Between those projects I have 4 weeks "free time" from 14th December up to 9th January where I would like to travel from Durban to Mossel Bay or the other way round. I have no exact plans for the trip except a safari in the Addo Elephant Park, visiting the ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn and maybe doing a meerkat safari :D I have planned to do the trip with the "bazbus" and sleeping in backpacker hostels. Looking for round the world travelling companions NOW
Hey all. I've posted this pretty much everywhere I can find that caters to travellers. So you may have seen this before. I'm currently on the road on a RTW trip and it's pretty lonely by myself even though I meet loads of people. It'd be nice to have a person or two with me for the long haul, or part of it at least. I'll be heading down to Northern Africa (Tunisia/Libya) at the beginning of September and then over to India in October. From there I'll spend a few months around Asia (China, Japan, Korea, the Philipines, Thailand and then head over to Australia in the new year to work for a couple of months. After that I'll be headed to South America and then overland up to North America for a couple of month long road trip. Sounds fun right? Well if you or anyone you know is doing a similar route around the same time please contact me. Even if its only part of the way, it'd be great to have some company. Hey everyone, im a 20 yr old female from Canada Setting out for south america middle November! So far i have no real concrete plans Other than the fact that i will be starting my trip in Colombia & working around south america clockwise. Im planning on backpacking around for 6 months give or take, & since im going solo, it would be nice to know that i have a few people to meet up with along the way, & perhaps even travel with. =) After colombia I would like to head over to brazil as It has always been a dream of mine to Go to the Carnival in Rio. But i would REALLLY like to have someone to go with. I havent booked my carnival tickets or hostel as of yet as im hoping that someone will like to go with me!!! Ideally i would like to spend about a month in brazil to travel around & see all the sights. AFter Brazil I was thinking of passing through uruguay for a few days & then head over to argentina again for about a month. After that make my way up chile, then bolivia, peru & lastly Ecuador by around May. Like i said tho, this is only a rough idea & im open for any ideas that any one may have! Group of three travelling to Oz and USA!
Hi! My name is Laura, i'm a nurse, and i live in York in England at the moment. Myself, my boyfriend and my bestfriend are going travelling in January 2010. My best friend's boyfriend was supposed to be coming with us but they have broken up so it leaves three of us, which is a bit of an odd number!! We are hoping to find someone or a few people who might like to travel with us either for a short amount of time or for the whole trip as it would be safer, and loads of fun travelling in a group! We've already booked our tickets. We're travelling to Bankok on the 28th of January, and we stay for 15 days, then to singapore for 7 days, then we get to Cairns on the 20th of February. We're working our way down the east side of australia over 5 months ish, either camping or staying in hostels, going to tazmania, across the south of Oz to Perth in about the July time, where we're going to stay for about 6 months and work! Then in about December/January we fly to christchurch in new zealand, and fly from Auckland in new zealand to fiji, then to L.A. and travel round america for a while. Companion for Europe and Asia backpacking
Hey there! I am a 24 years young female from Germany who wants to see more of the world then just tourist cities and hotels from inside on a 2 weeks vacation. I will travel around from Jan. 2010. Starting in Germany (or other places), I will travel north to Sweden, Norway(northern lights). Then Scotland/Ireland, France, Spain, Greece, Turkey. From there to Bulgaria, Romania (Transylvania - Dracula's castle), (Hungary, Austria, Czech) Poland and then to Moscow. From here I want to take the Transiberian train to the "Altai Mountains" (Siberia) and to Mongloia, China. I want to travel completely free. Here a day, there a week... no hurry. I don't want to stay in hotels too much or take airplanes, even I could afford them. My main targets are the aurora in Norway, Transylvania in Bulgaria and the Transiberian train. As this is my first backpacking journey, I start in Europe. After I got into it, I will move to Russia and... I am willing to change plans, but I want to SEE the world, not rush as fast as possible through the whole world from Africa to Asia to America... That's why this will be my Europe/Asia trip. Next can be Africa or America. I am looking for a companion who is open minded and relaxed. Female or male 18-35 years. Hello everyone, I'm looking for travel companion for my travel in China. I am Italian, from Rome, but can speak Chinese Putonghua and I worked for many years as a tour guide in China in the past. Now I get back there for my holiday once a year, as my job here is still related to Chinese language, the prurpose of my indipendent travels is either to practise Chinese and have an holiday. The itinerary is as follows: Hong Kong first, then Hainan island and then Kunming and Yunnan province. In Yunnan can go south to Sishuangbanna, and visit Dali, Lijiang and the area along the tibetan border. As I have already been in these places, and I have lived in Kunming in the past, there is no problem to find cheap accomodations there for me. But I'd like to find some travellers interested in Hainan island. The most beautiful part of the island is near Sanya, south of the island. Hi, I'm from Barcelona, Spain, 40 Years but look like 30 :-) Winther in Asia? Guesthouses, bungalows In beaches and natural parks, Orangutans, rice fields, mosques, temples, trains, buses, ferrys, colonial cities, gastronomy, and people, maaaaaaany people... The life there is cheap (transport, food and accommodation), and with shared expenses even more. The 16 October land in Kuala Lumpur, Malasia... back to Spain the 8 of March. This is the route that have planned, but there is not at all fixed, could adapt me and even change it. October, Malasian West coast. November, Sumatra and maybe some part of Java. December, maybe Borneo, center and Malasya east coast. January, few dais in Thailand and entrance in Cambodia by the south coast. February , Vietnam from South to North... March, route to Kuala Lumpur, the day 8 fligth to home in Barcelona. My idea is to remain always that it was possible of 5 to 10 days in the same place. Lift Offer from Melbourne to Cairns via Outback Australia
I'll be travelling from Melbourne through the outback to Cairns and returning in 6 weeks. I have a campervan (fridge, stove etc), also tent and mattresses. Staying at free camps, caravan parks, relatives and friends. Van is registered for 5 seats, but would prefer two fellow travellers. I'm leaving Melbourne on 1st September. First stop is Australia's capital city Canberra, for a long weekend, then via the outback to Bourke, Cunnamulla, then the Matilda Highway to Charleville, Longreach, Charters Towers, Townsville and Cairns, taking it easy and seeing all the sights along the way. Stopping at markets, festivals, museums, galleries, parks, waterfalls, beaches, tourist attractions etc. In North Queensland I'd like to see as much as possible, including rainforest and reef, scuba diving, whitewater rafting, jungle surfing, and climbing Queensland's highest mountain. I'd be happy for you to do whatever what you wanted. If you felt like staying on and not coming back, that'd be OK too. I plan to take a 5 day trip by plane and 4 wheel drive to Cape York as well. I'll be leaving Innisfail on 9th October for a quick trip back to Melbourne via Brisbane and Sydney to arrive back in Melbourne on October 15th. If we share costs it will be a very inexpensive trip. Klondike History in Yukon/Alaska
I'm looking for female travel companion(s) to share the magic and history of the North. I can't offer a hot exotic place, but I am going to an interesting, historic place, a sunny, warm corner of Yukon. Southern Yukon is an area of large lakes and tourist stops like Skagway Alaska where all of the cruise ships dock. After 22 trips through Yukon, Alaska and NWT, I have purchased property on Tagish Lake. Tagish is cottage country for Yukoners and Europeans in the Southern Lakes district. There is a building that I plan to renovate during the summer, but I also want to get to know the area better. Anchorage, Kluane, Dawson or the Arctic Circle are only a few days drive away. I'm a big DMB fan and have got tickets to gigs in Des Moines and Little Rock on 21 and 29 September but have nobody to go with. I have family in Arkansas and would probably start and end there, but apart from that and taking in the Des Moines gig on 21st, I'm happy to travel (and drive) almost anywhere, though I know of a great little place to hang out in Golden CO (near the Coors brewery by coincidence!) and would like to visit Yellowstone. I'm fairly ancient and female but not ageist or sexist. I love driving in the US but need somebody to decipher the satnav and negotiate the radio channels (when not listening to DMB CDs or course). I'm not terribly adventurous but will go along with most things, and I like a drink now and again... and again. But not combined with driving. :-) Anybody game?

London to Nice or Milan Road Trip
Hi! I am driving to Nth Italy / Sth France in July (leave 15th pm!) in my nice van! There is no itinerary, just a vague route (which I have driven many times). If you would like to see a bit of Europe then this may be your chance. The plan is to go over to Dunkirk and then, Belgium, maybe Germany, Switzerland and through the tunnel (St Bernard or Gothard?!!) to Milan, or possibly through Switzerland and over the top to Cote d'Azur - Nice?!?!?. But this is very flexible, if you want to do a route or visit a particular place, I am open to suggestions! The idea is to do it as cheap as possible, so no road tolls or hotels, fancy restos or chique bars! This is a sleep in the van, which is very comfy! or camping: eat cheaply or cook up some pasta maybe, and have a beer from the shop, sit out next to a lake! The trip is based on a shared cost agreement. It should come to around 150 - 180 quid! plus what ever you wanna spend on food and drink, and your ticket across on the ferry (discuss!). The plan is to leave London on 15th ish July, I have to be in Milan by the 22nd July in the afternoon. So, if you want to do something like this, I would like to hear from you. Greece - Crete - Platanias 1-31 July with me?
I need someone to go to Greece - Crete with in july 09. I have an apartment for 4, but no one to go with. All my friends have to work, have babies or some other stuff to do. I just need a pause from Norway. I rented an apartment in Greece for 1 month 1-31 july in Platanias. It costs 700 euros for 4 persons, so its not much... I know this is a bit early, but I thought if I found a travel buddy early we could plan the trip together and have more time to save. So I don't have any set plan or anything, but I was thinking about heading over to Rio for the Carnival then working my way up to the USA to work and travel for a while. Maybe do a roadtrip or something. Then over to Aus and NZ and work there for a while. I would like to spend Christmas over there. From there over to Asia, and then Africa. I would love to do Europe too if the funds hold out. I am looking to do this on a budget so plan to stay in hostels, camping and use Couchsurfing. I am totally open to any places and experiences. Looking to combine volunteer work, paid work and travels. Me - I am a 22 year old female and in my last year of Uni so I graduate in the Summer as a teacher. I am pretty easy going so get on with most people. I really want to just have a great time and make some memories. Hi everybody this is Abraham from London.The plane of my self, following Jeremy's orchestrated trip,Has change. for some personal reason Jeremy decided to drop off. As I have already book the flight and I'm looking forward for this event I'm going ahead anyway. I was just wondering if there is anybody else Who would like to join. I'm leaving to Geneva on the 24/June 2009 planing to ride 100km a day I don't think that should be hard.In total I need to ride about 700km and it should take approximately 7 days I'm using a GPS plus laminated map that I got from Roger Cortis (he have done it) The ride was on the Autumn Arrivee 2009 If anybody want to learn some more about it. I'm planing to do it with my sport bike with as Little luggage as possible I have a 16 litter saddle bag plus bar bag plus small back pack all together I will Cary about 6 to 8kg in total. I like it that way so you can still attack the mountain rather then slowly inching your self over it. I have already done rides like that before and promise its work. so if anybody want to do a worm up for LONDON EDINBURGH LONDON you are more then welcome The dates as well can be move a Little bit forward or back ward if necessary. The flight shouldn't cost more then 100 GBP return with bicycle and accommodation I'm sure I can find on the way (GPS very handy to find hotels) so if anybody interested drop me a line.

A 34 years old guy with a 4WD who took a long break and who is currently traveling in Oz is looking for a new companion for the trip/part of it (my current companion is due to leave at the 6th of May, heading to Fiji...). The starting point for the trip is Darwin, where we'll be driving through Western Australia (also through Perth), ending at Melbourne on late July/early August (roughly). My expected embarking date from Darwin is somewhere between 7-11 of May. Expenses such as petrol, accommodation (backpackers or tent sites) and food will be shared, of course. Morocco Travel Buddies Needed! July (Marrakech - Fes)
We are two females (British and Australian) looking for two more people to join a tour we have booked in Morocco. (It's cheaper per person if four travel rather than two.) The tour is 3900 DH per person, which equates to about 310 GBP per person. It is 4 days/3 nights and includes all accomodation, transport and most meals. (Not lunch) Highlights of the trip feature camel trekking and overnight camping in the desert. Day 1: Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou via Telouet - Day 2: Ait Benhaddou to Dades Gorge via Skoura Palmerie and Rose Valley - Day 3: Dades Gorge to Merzouga via Todra Gorge. Camel trek to sleep in a Berber tent - Day 4: Return Camel Trek. Transfer to Fes via Azrou and the Cedar Forests. The tour finishes in Fez, so from there on your own plans/accomodation will need to be sorted. Just so you know, we ourselves will be getting a train back to Marrakech in the morning. Asia S.E. Asia Open to World Ideas
Hi, I Have a lot I would like to see and do. I particularly am fond of good food, Love Asian, Italian, Greek etc. Seen most of Australia (my own country) loved most of it and would do it all again. Spent time as a Teen in Malaysia. Really want to see as much of the world as possible. Preference is to budget and keep it simple and economical, meeting normal people and experiencing as much of a nations real culture where and when it is possible or if it has survived. Not into the cities or bricks and mortar, unless it is very ancient. Preference is for Natural wonders, old old cities and temples, Nice normal people from all walks of life, good conversations and experiences. Would prefer to share travel and experience with someone nice, doesnt have to be as old as me, but just good company and a willingness to see things up close, not from airconditioned buses or fancy hotel rooms. Thinking, Cambodia, China, India, Bangladesh or similar, to start with, some now, some later, open to ideas, preference is to sort it as we go, stay or leave according to how we find it at the time, if we like it a lot, we stay a lot longer :-)

Around USA on a motorbike - June/July
Hi all, I'm off to the USA with my motorbike at the beginning of May for a 12 week sort of round trip... My friend who is coming with me has work commitments and she can now only do the first 4 weeks... therefore I'm looking for a travel companion (preferably female - English or German speaking) with a crash helmet and who likes motorbikes... a bit :D for anywhere from 1-6 weeks during June and the first part of July. I'm starting in Arizona and then working up through California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and then somehow down to the 'South' (Kansas, Carolinas, Kentucky etc.) before heading back across to AZ. I've only got an outline route as I don't know what there is to see just yet. I imagine I'll be somewhere around Washington (state) or Idaho around the beginning of June... feel free to check my blog for progress... I can't be more specific on where I'll be at the moment!!
